I am always trying to know more about myself, and my way of doing this is by getting to know more about the world and everyone else..

I am Manal, I am 22 years old. I am from Egypt, a city called Mansoura.
I study medicine, this is my 5th year, still quite a long journey of studying, I hope I can make it through.

I volunteer a lot here, mainly in issues related to gender, gender based violence, Sexual and reproductive health and so on
Recently, I am participating more in things related to culture exchange and Dialogue.

I am usually quiet at the beginning of meeting people, but once we get to know each other, I will be very active and may never stop talking!
I still need some quite time for myself to just relax and drown inside my own head.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am very enthusiastic to experience more of everything. Travelling the world seems like an excellent way to do this.
I am on couch surfing to find a platform to do this;by being in the community that is enthusiastic about exploring the world, by having the chance to exchange culture and ideas with other people, and also for saving some money too :D

Currently I am not able to host anyone as I live with my family and our home is not that close to many things, I hope I will be able to host people in the future.Still I would like to meet anyone who is coming to Egypt and show them around a bit.

Oh,This is a very hard question for me, I don't like choosing favourites!! :(

Some of my favourite movies are,Ameline, Liberal arts, Mr nobody, The prestige, The Shawshank Redemption, the soloist...there is probably a lot more :D

Books, I love good novels, I read some books in philosophy, sociology and psychology but I can't decide my favourite book, Maybe I haven't read it yet ;)

I worked for more then 100 hours of empowering women and teaching them how to defend themselves, Does this count ?! :D

Maybe I can teach you some Arabic and you can teach me some of your language.
