Music, Movies, and Books
books: actually i write my own, but most of them still in my head and not on paper. i like utopian novels like Ecotopia or bolo'bolo, arno Schmidts "egghead republic" - in the moment i read "the dispossessed" by ursula Le guin. i also try to read the important books like Dostojewski, thomas Pynchon (i capitulated until further notice), Goethes faust or georg Buechner (died with 23 years...)
and of course, as i studied political and cultural science, i red a lot of Foucault, who was like my most important teacher after Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, definitely my gurus. and i like sadie Plant, hakim Bey, gabriel Kuhn, wolfgang Sterneck, Tiqqun, Crimethink, "l'insurrection qui vient",...
but i also like stuff like Charlotte Roche (no joke), or Frederic Vester and Ervin Laszlo or Arno Gruen, Eckhart Tolle and of course, never forget my keymaster to all philosophical feelings of living: Erich Fromm.
current "hate-love-relationship": Michel Houellebecq
films: i live since years without TV, so I don't watch so many films any more, but those who affected me - and where i've the most quotations in my head - were: Matrix, harold and Maude, life of Brian, Y tu maman tambien, im Juli, Amelie, and yeah, also Avatar.
Music: i play Maultrommel, Jews Harp since 2010, and it's the ancient trance-instrument (www.ancient-trance.de), which makes me able to take the GOA party whereever i go. because my head is all the time full of goa beats. actally i search people to combine psychedelic rock like led Zeppelin, or also nina Hagen (her old albums are full of liberating crazyness) or also city "Am Fenster" with psychedelic goa trance (the real one, (almost) no darkpsy).
I like bands like Watcha Clan!, Dunkelbunt, Dota & die Stadtpiraten, Fruechte des Zorns, Acid Milch & Honig, like electropunk, electropop, drum'n'bass, raggae, dub(step), and still important: Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down; and The Aerzte. And very nice is also Ilhaam Project, and every kind of psy chill ambient like Carbon Based Lifeforms...
and: SAMBA, "rhythms of resistance" - practically!
