ABOUT ME

I love manatees, they sincerely rock my unfortunately stinky socks. However, don't get me wrong, I care for all animals - even us crazy humans. I am an eco/animal nerd... I am goofy... I love to be outdoors - frolicking is one of the best things in the world, especially if it is in the rain - fun, fun, fun! :-D

I love to learn and I am often too diligent for my own good, I feel respect is one of the most important qualities, and I believe that we will only be free when we tackle all the injustices and inequalities locally, federally, and internationally.

Let's see. I love to volunteer & play cards, garlic bread is soo terribly tasty, great snack foods are: hot cheerios, fried dough, chocolate, sun-dried tomatoes, and greens.

Ideally, I will always be working to better the world. :D

I listen to music or NPR most of the day :-D
Music wise, I mainly indulge in 20s jazz, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s music, but I love being exposed to what others love.

I love to read and I am usually immersed in 3-5 books at a time. Some old favorites are:

THE BOOK On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are, non-fiction :-D, aaaand The Handmaid's Tale, Life of Pi, Silent Spring, Night, Snow Falling on Cedars, Brave New World, Beloved, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Princess Bride, The Secret Life of Bees, etc!

I am not too into movies or tv, so for the past 10 years, I haven't consumed much. I do try to catch The Daily Show/Colbert Report/Jon Oliver/The Nightly a few times a year.

But, these are a few I enjoyed from when friends have lured me in.. :o)

also, amelie, armadeus, back to the future, crash, dirty dancing, earth girls are easy, jumpin' jack flash, life is beautiful, lilo and stich, now and then, sandlot, short circuit, star wars, the wedding singer, when harry met sally.

Stopped what could have been a severe wastewater leak, and ultimately was covered in wastewater. I tend to have dirty jobs.
