Hellooo!

My name is Manca and I like to meet new people and listen to their experiences, stories and enjoy the time with a new person as much as possible. I am an extremely positive person who likes to make the everyday something special and intriguing. What a lovely introduction ... ;)

I make myself a day something special by social experiments (as I call them haha). I am interested in human reactions and our way of thinking and one day I was offering pizza (I had two slices left, but did not want to take them with me on the bus) at the Ljubljana central bus station and I wanted to see if people would accept them. I was sure that nobody would, because it is something unusual and it is from a complete stranger. Or maybe they just were not hungry :D ... Hey, guess what. nobody accepted them ;)

And once on the bus I sneezed and nobody said "bless you", as the occasion is at home, so I said it out for myself, and a woman sitting next to me glimpsed at me and excitedly said "Bless you". I thought it would be intriguing if I did that and the voice inside myself kept saying "Ahhh, you are not brave enough to do that" and then I just did it, as the case is always like that when doing social experiments :D (Yeah ... Strange things may happen when meeting new people :D, but hey, life must be interesting ;) )

I like to do some group sports and play instruments (drums, guitar, piano, accordion, ) - I'd like to know how to play as many instruments as possible :D I also adore skateboarding (with a longboard, because it is more stable :D) and this year my boyfriend taught me snowboarding, which is even more exciting.

I also like hanging out with children -- just make some company or do some animation, talking to them because they always have something funny to tell and it brightens my day, even though some are difficult to handle, but as a future teacher I must be capable to deal with demanding children as well. :)

I really recommend you visiting this exquisite little country called Slovenia, which despite its geographical smallness offers incredibly big number of natural beauties, lovely castles, cities and a big perk is that you can see a lot of them in a very short time :) That is what I like about my country the most.

I find Couchsurfing a very useful website for hosts and for travellers. I like to travel and I support all the travellers who choose to stay at the locals and taste the real fun ;) I've had three couchsurfing experiences up to now and it was excellent, exciting, interesting and I look forward to any further travelling and meeting new people. =)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite group is Nightwish and in general I like symphonic metal, but I also like Slovenian national music (with accordion ;) ) and I am opened to national music from all over the world. I extremely like to explore different genres of music, because I am amazed by the differences and creativity which songs show =)

Movies .... Hmm :D I watch them really rarely because usually I become bored or when watching I think about other things and don't have a clue about the plot :D I like series such as Desperate housewives, Bones, Psych, Kuhnya (Russian) and a cartoon American dad. But interesting fact, I've been watching Kuhnya already for 2 years but shock, I have finished 2nd season ... About my frequency of watching .. Aaand hanging out in cinema? Well, I am not the best company for that :D

Books ... I choose them randomly.. As long as it is in English or Russian it's great because I am happy when I know that I am doing something useful and I am becoming more knowledgeable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sung the song of Period system of elements in front of whole generation of 2nd graders of High School (the best moment ever :D )

I can sing a Turkish song by Tarkan: Kiss kiss, because I like it and once I learned the lyrics :D

I attended the IATEFL conference 2018 in Slovenia and it was one of the best days in my life :D Hopefully I will attend the next year's in UK :)
