About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find a balance between accepting what life gives me and working to accomplish my goals.

ABOUT ME

My partner and I are traveling right now to Tennessee to stay with his family for the winter.

PHILOSOPHY

I haven't had it all figured out since I was a kid. The older I get, the more I realize I'll never get to the bottom of "it".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only used the service to find a place while traveling last summer. It worked out pretty nicely. As a traveler, I'll probably use the site more. I'm hoping to help out some fellow travelers once I'm settled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a really nice family in Lubbock. Had a hard time finding a place in Flagstaff, so I ended up at a hostel. Couchsurfing is the way I prefer to travel, whether by using this site or just staying with friends and acquaintances.

Music, Movies, and Books

Just read Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud, which left me in a state of laughter and heartbreak from start to finish. I really enjoy Tom Robbins. I just started hosting a movie night at my work. Last month I showed "Heima"-a pretty awesome Sijur Rós documentary. I try to enjoy as much as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most of the moments in my life that I would describe as amazing have been small, unexpected, and nearly impossible to describe in words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to be able to speak Spanish. I've taken classes, but my time in Mexico showed me how limited my knowledge is. I like DIY. I want to grow food, cook it, and share it with people. I want to be good at this. I want to know how to work on bikes and take them on long trips. Lots of stuff.
