About Me
Hey everyone!! I'm Mandi, globetrobber extraordinaire and recent college graduate. I studied IT at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and I'm now searching for full time employment in Germany.
I've been fortunate enough to have spent four consecutive summers in a row traveling around Europe - I did two internships in Düsseldorf, was a nanny near Munich, and studied abroad during my junior year of college in Berlin.
I'm spontaneous, laid back, and a bit fearless when it comes to traveling solo. I've been religiously following Rick Steves' travel books and documentaries since I was a kid (I was even given a shoutout by the man himself during my time in Italy in 2014... and yes, this story made local Italian newspapers! https://www.facebook.com/ricksteves/photos/a.10151281817257745.486423.45052217744/10152412694977745/?type=1&theater) and credit him for most of the incredible experiences I've had abroad.
I think this website will be an awesome way for me to meet more cool people and experience even more local life when I travel domestically or abroad. At the moment I live in a shared apartment with roommates that prevents me from being able to accept guests, but in the future when I have a place to myself, everyone will be welcome! :)
