About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I think Patty Griffin says it well, "and we'll grow kindness in our hearts for all the strangers among us.. until there are no strangers anymore."
ABOUT ME
I try to share what I have. I think a lot and read constantly. I enjoy conversations about life and cultures and spirituality and love.. I want to publish a book.. or more than one, someday. I'm a good friend. I've become quite liberal, but it took awhile. I'm finding a faith that's deeper than any I've ever known before. Heather and I are engaged and have been together over a year. We'll be married this summer. Heather is studying to become a UCC pastor and I work in higher education.
PHILOSOPHY
If you want to find something in others, whether it's love or generosity or hope, whatever it is - grow it in your own heart first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've met some great folks through CS and hope to continue to do so. Dallas has quite an active little happy hour group.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed several couches over the years, and I grew up in a family that was always welcoming to those who needed a place to crash for the night.. or the month. I have tried to grow that kind of generosity in my own life.
Interests
books... I'm always reading something. Games - Settlers of Catan, Scrabble... A cold beer in a chilled glass at my favorite pub, where strangers turn into friends. dog lovers and dog parks and my sweet as can be border collie, Libby. ...and of course: traveling, meeting new people, exploring other cultures, spreading kindness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think every day we can do small amazing things - like smiling at strangers, and giving up a seat on the train to someone who needs it more, like helping people and spreading hope.
