About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Take a deep breath and let it go.
ABOUT ME
I have recently discovered that I am horrible with small talk (lets talk about lifes deeper meaning, shall we)? I recently graduated from Purdue University with a degree in psychology and am continuing my studies. I have taught yoga since 2010 until present.
Roles I sometimes play :: yoga instructor :: student :: aunt :: sister :: daughter :: girlfriend :: step mother :: house wife :: hippy :: liberal :: amateur psychologist :: yogi :: vegetarian :: friend :: artist :: dancer
I stretch regularly and try to live a mindfully conscious lifestyle :: I have a knack for sensing genuine people :: I quite often hear from others that I smell good, just in case that might be a concern for you :: I like real, honest conversation :: I believe that our bodies respond to our thoughts
Namaste
PHILOSOPHY
As the Buddha puts it, "All that we are is the result of what we have thought. We are made of our thoughts; we are molded by our thoughts."
As we think :: So we become
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently living with a room mate who, upon numerous request on my part, will not open his home to travelers. What a chump.
I do like to think I participate in other ways ::
I never litter :: I recycle :: I use only the very minimum necessary amount of shower water :: and always turn the lights off when leaving a room :: I am open to talk and share knowledge, collaborate, and connect with genuinely conscious individuals
Occasionally, I go around Crown Point(my home town) on sunny lazy Sunday's and pick up left over trash around the town square. Please fight to keep our courthouse safe and clean. Your broken Mgd's bottles hurt people. I think I am joking, but I really do that so maybe I'm serious.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience with this website, this community, consists solely of surfing thus far. I feel this site presents an amazing opportunity to connect on such a deeper level with your destination of choice. A chance to experience culture, new foods, lifestyles, language, and so so much more, through people you would've never had the pleasure to meet otherwise. As you can tell from my overly-sentimental rant... I am super appreciative for this site allowing us to change up the mundane!

Music, Movies, and Books
I occasionally enjoy a movie, I listen to music everyday and I read all the time. Books i'm into these days are related to Yoga Philosophy, ancient traditions and language, meditations and movement. The last book I read leisurely was David Sedaris' Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. As if anyone really cares.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll save this personal stuff for when we actually meet. =)
