About Me

update: may 2019
hullo
i just moved to bilthoven, a village just 20-30 minutes cycling or 15 minutes by bus from Utrecht town.
here there is more space for visitors and it's nicely quiet at night (living in Utrecht center was too noisy)
for a stroll at the woods: it's just around the corner.

CURRENT MISSION

Mission? That's a big word. I don't think i have a mission.

PHILOSOPHY

Ask my big black cat.
Just be. Don't hold on too much to morals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

hi there
I think it's a great idea for visiting countries. so much more interesting to meet people and their real lives rather than being a tourist with a camera in between you and the place.

Interests

Musicians are very welcome to come by and play along. But beware: I'd rather hear you drumming 'happy birthday' on your lightweight cooking set than playing that 'hotel california' on your guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

writers: Gerard Reve, Tolkien, Arto Paasilinna, William Blake, Michael Ende, Terry Pratchett... mythology and those nice small folktales books...
just discovered turkish absurdism - amazing

movies: spaghetti westerns, tarkovksy and more. I always enjoy watching some movie. At the cinema or at home. Feel free to join.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

sending people into the dark woods of serbia with the fairytale there's a neon light painting hanging in the trees.
there were fire salamanders though.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you to play the jew's harp. or perhaps to be quiet. if you can teach me how to play, for example, a french horn or a balalaika, great!
i'd love to learn survival skills.
learning new things to cook is always an enrichment as well.
and languages, always interesting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

i had some requests that i saw too late. so please, if you send one do it a bit earlier than one day before hm?

when you take the pillows from the couch, put them on the floor and add my camping mattress on top you'll have a fine place to sleep : ) update: i also got a blow-up air mattress now! wuhu!
also i like to show you around of course. utrecht is a nice little town to wander around and you can hardly get lost.
