ABOUT ME

Well there's a lot to tell about me, Let's start with my name Andrea and I'm 33 years old. I'm 100% Swiss. I love travelling. It makes me happy more than anything else. I have 5 weeks holidays per year. As soon as I'll get 3 or 4 days off, I hit the road. When I'm not working or not travelling I spend 91% of my time with googeling. I don't know much, but google knows a lot about stuff I'm interested in and I wanna get all into this stuff. I take tons of picture. I like the moment. It won't come back, so I like to keep that. My friends are classic. I may cannot see them everyday, because some of them are all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I still live in my parent's flat, so I can't really offer a couch! But in some month, when I'll get my own place I'll share also my couches.. Though it would be nice to have some drinks together..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A couple of times so far. All of them were very nice and easy-going and I felt totally comfortable. In Seattle we even joined accidentally a flash mob night. Pictures from the making-of as well as the result are available.

Interests

Travelling; Guess when having time and the money i'd be even travelling the moon.
Cinema and movies.. taking pictures, reading, swimming, bowling, walking, hiking, talking, good food and better wine and even better beers, music, sleeping, badminton, running, hiking, cooking (sometimes with more success, sometimes less...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

having best times in Cambridge, dancing in the rain in Scotland, drinking hot wine in the christmas market in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), Counting sheeps in Ireland, walking down the Champs Elysee in Paris, becoming a maiko in Japan, shopping in New York, walking around with homeless people in Chicago, sightseeing tour in Belgrad, celebrating mid summer night in Denmark, paying a fortune for a gorgeous beer in Norway, eating cow bones soup in South Korea, enjoying good food and better wine in Italy, joining the film festival in Vancouver, joining accidentally a flash light mob night in Seattle, snorkeling with turtles in Kauai, swimming under waterfalls in maui, flying over lava in Big Island, enjoying the sunset at the Waikiki Beach in Oahu, joining a crazy Halloween party in San Francisco, playing hide and seek in the middle of the night in London, hiking on the noise of Machu Picchu (Waynu Picchu), having a Fata Morgana in the salt flat "Salar de Uyuni" in Bolivia, danced together with my favourite band "Airborne Toxic Event" in Dublin (they didn't know - but I did :D ), canal cruising in Amsterdam, sleeping on a house boat (ecohostel.be) in Belgium, getting stopped by the police as we did not "know" red lights at all :D, could barely walk after some Hula Hoops on the Bahamas Island, loosing my voice because of too much screaming (spiders and snakes) in Florida, travelling by train to Amsterdam, which started to burn, having funny couchsurfing experiences in Canada, lost (and found) my passport in Malaysia, collected a life time scar on my first day in NZ (sandboarding is just not my thing to do), when being in SanFrancisco funny stuff just happens again and again and again, finding out that i'm not the sailing queen (sea sick) in Australia, made another sailing experience (not a good one) in Oman, Malta and Iceland (now I quit - I swear), enjoying lots of mojitos in Cuba and hating all the mosquitos :D, breaking down in the middle of the desert - but fortunately in front of the police station in Namibia, enjoying chocolate wine in South Africa, getting lost in Swaziland, being the only guest in an all-inclusive Resort in Mozambique...

ME:
- I know a lot about trains, as I work for the Swiss Railaway Company. I can help you with planing trips in Switzerland or Europe by train.
- If you come in winter time, let's go sledging together. It takes about 1.5hours by train from my home tome, but it is soo much fun.
