Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I helped a friend find a guy that she was couch surfing with in Athens, he was really cool and let me ride on his Vespa, so I figured that this was a good thing. I have Couchsurfed and hosted on five continents and found everyone that I have met to be fantastic.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: Run Lola Run, Almost Famous, Bobby, Star Wars, and Secretary to name a few.
Books: Anything by David Sedaris or Jonathan Letham, Prague, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Bel Canto.
Music: I generally like folky, rock-ish, bluesy, electro-pop, alternative, experimental kind of stuff. Ya know? I have a soft spot for the un-pretentious alternative music of the '90's and indie bands who have female vocalists with raspy voices, also dance music that is made with real instruments and not electronic synthesizer "instruments."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flew a plane.Spent a summer being a river rafting guide.Haven't had TV since I was ten.Been to going to Burning Man since 2002 and let me tell you that place still has the ability to make my jaw drop.Spent a week in a mountain monastery in Thailand meditating in caves with monks, cobras and tarantulas, and bats. I had the honor of working on Barack Obama's staff in Ohio and help turn the state blue! For New Years 2010 I jumped out of a plane. When I landed I realized I liked it so much I went up on the very next plane 10 minutes later and did it again!
Teach, Learn, Share
I LOVE to cook and especially trade recipes. I also sew and love to cut up old clothes to make them into new clothes. However, the fact that I sew and cook does not make me a house wifey type, trust me on this. I also have taught a number of people how to spin fire/poi.
