Hi there! I'm Mandy, an Oregon native, but a wandering traveler.

There is this Latin motto that my grandpa always lived by that I love:
Pro tanto quid retribuamus, which means "what shall I give for having received so much."

I love this and try to live by it. I think it truly fits in with the couchsurfing way of life.

Why I surf:

Meeting new people who are so kind and generous as to lend their floor or couch or privacy restores my faith in humanity. It's not only convenient, but a blessing, lesson, and adventure.

Why I host:
I have an uncle who always has an "open door" policy, and I love that generosity that keeps giving through serving others. I also love to swap stories about adventures, even adventures in the mundane life of Provo, Utah, because I believe adventure is a state of mind, not an event.

兴趣

I love to chat about film, music (been digging jazz lately), podcasts (the Minimalists is a good one), and humanity's struggles with things like religion, feminism, and politics (in a respectful way, of course. Sometimes people aren't always in the mood to chat about politics! Haha).
