I am Mandy, 26 years old and currently live in France. Until my graduation last year I lived in the beautiful city of Leipzig. After that I wanted to improve my French, which is why I moved to France. I like to travel to see the world and meet new people. I would describe myself as open, friendly and uncomplicated :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to get involved in the life of the country by living with hosts. You get advices about the city, the surroundings, the food, etc. In addition Couchsurfing corresponds to my philosophy of exchange. We live in a society, in which unfortunately everything is tried to settle with money. Personally, I find it enriching when the focus is not on the financial, but on the interpersonal.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I am very open and curious. I like to be inspired and love any kind of music that makes my heart and body vibrate. No matter if folk, classical, rock, etc. I have no fixed favourite music. The same applies to books and films. I read a lot and enjoy watching films that I consider aesthetically pleasing and/or that make me think about me and the world. I can count Xavier Dolan and Lars von Trier among my favourite directors.
