My name is Mandy and I am from Germany. For more than three years ago I have been to Australia which was life changing. During this journey I have learned plenty of good but bad things as well. After all this experiences I did not only fall in love with the country I also fell in love with traveling, to get to know new people, countries and cultures. Therefore I started a new journey: getting closer to Europe.

I am very spontaneous, open minded and I love to laugh also about myself.
Unfortunately I am more pessimist than optimist but that does not mean you can not have fun with me ;) I love adventures, exploring something new even if it is not a big issue and to work out something new. In this case I hate boredom.
But sometimes I like to relax as well watching movies all day long or eating ice cream. By the way I LOVE ice cream. So if I am not happy at all just get me some ice cream and you will see a smile on my face again ;) childish isn't it?
Anyway I like to join serious discussions. It is interesting the way other people think and how they try to convince you of their opinion which is kind of difficult with me because I am very critical. Therefore I think a lot and sometimes too much till my brain hurts literally. But I like to discuss ridiculous themes as well.

Besides I like to do sport which is quiet difficult during the traveling unfortunately.

So all in all I am usually a happy person and I love to have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and I want to see as much as possible from a new country and that includes the locals as well. I want to get to know them and new people, their own culture and how their living like. There are so many different cultures and languages which you can not understand or sometimes never heard about before . But we are still living on the same planet that is incredible.

I would like to exchange all those amazing experiences and I want to get to know a country not as tourist however I want to live in it as a local. So what do you think about your own country? :)

Interests

As I already mentioned I like to do sports like dancing, trampoline or bicycling and also surfing which I just started in Australia. During winter I love to snowboard and especially the drinks after it. "apres ski" :D

Next to it I like extreme actions and everything which is not "normal" so more bizarre things which is not necessarily sport.

I am fascinating of the human body how everything is working, why there is an expiry date or the evolution of us..

I would love to travel my entire life which is not really possible but I am trying my best to work this out. I want to see so much of the world and to get to know so many different people and how their live like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After school I decided to travel to Australia for one year. It was the best decision in my life! I have learned so many things, got to know plenty of new people and friends, did an amazing skydive and diving in the Great barrier Reef, traveled to other countries as well and the most important thing is that I got to know what is real living like. I have learned to breath and I do not want to miss that anymore.

Traveling is the key to a brand new world.

I can teach how to laugh about yourself and how you can enjoy your life besides stupid rules and manners you always have to ahve a look at.

I will share all my experiences with you that might be helpful and would like to share more experiences and adventures.
And if you get hungry for some sweets I can teach you how to bake yummy cookies or cakes e.g. :)
