I'm originally from Beijing China and have spent the last 4 years living, working and studying in Hong Kong and Germany. (I know, constantly expat life haha)

I got a degree in Political Science and am pursing another one in Economics.

I speak fluent English, German and Chinese.

I'm currently traveling with my lovely boyfriend Christoph. He just finished his internship in Beijing and our next stop is - Techno MECCA -----BERLIN!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE to meet new friends from all walks of lives!

Grew up in Beijing, the environment around me was rather homogenized - we always speak the same language, have the same kind of dishes, talking about the same soap opera on TV;D

Therefore I thrive to know MORE about the world as much as I can - Couchsurfing is a GREAT way to get to know people in a really interactive way!!

PLUS: The budget of a student is really tight, so haha, why not choosing this really economic way! The old hotel booking and Airbnb is not trendy anymore. As the new generation, we are young, dumb and broke and willing to embrace the adventurous life!

Also, as a political science student, I've learned to respect and understand different cultures around me. So no worries, we will definitely have lots of interesting chit chats ;D

Interests

I'm a really systematic and organized person - try to hit the gym 4-5 times a week ;D

I worked with many professional digital marketers and developed my career path with a focus of KOL (Key Opinion Leader, aka influencer ) Marketing.

I enjoy talking about politics, since my major trained me to have a sharp mind and to always track about the global current affairs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - currently my fav album is ,,the year of hibernation'' from Youth Lagoon;

Movie - I'm a BIIIIIG fan of Christopher Nolan. Let's talk about his non-linear narrative style! (I know, nerdy mode switch on ;D)

Books - I love Dan Brown's writing, but find his previous writing more intriguing (e.g. Deception point from 2001).

I'm currently reading ,,The Berlin Stories'' from Christopher Isherwood ;D Such a beautiful memorier about Berlin in the 1930s!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've entered the North Pole (as far as 84N) back in 2010!!!

It was a school excursion co-organized by the Chinese expedition team and bunches of American and Canadian scientist. I, as one of the student representative, was soon honored to sail with the professional team on the ocean for 3 weeks.

The highlight was our short visit to a island called ,,Svarbald''. We went to visit the northeast Uni of the world, it was really an amazing trip! I got to see lots of precious arctic animals, helped to collect samples, talked with nice Norwegians, tried whale meat for the first time haha ;D

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
Well, for sure I'd love to teach you some native Mandarin with some ,,forbidden city'' accent. For us Beijinger, the forbidden city accent or er hua yin (儿化音) is really something to be proud of - quite like the ,,Hochdeutsch'' from Hannover if you know what I mean;D

Learn:
I'd love to learn your mother tongue! I know it's hard to get all of them in a really short period of time, but I want to grasp all the basics!
