Hi, my name is Mandy!

I'm a GBC (German born Chinese). My parents are from Hong Kong, but I was born and grew up in Germany. I visited Hong Kong a few times and I also lived in China for a half year as an exchange students. Because of my cultural background, I'm very interested in the Chinese culture, so I studied Chinese studies and business administration in Cologne. I finished my bachelor degree in 2018 and master in 2022.

Friends will describe me as an emphatic person who is open-minded. I like sharing experiences and stories, discussing issues, but sometimes I'm a little bit shy and I just enjoy the silence.

I'm living in Cologne since March 2023.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think, the best way to get to know foreign cultures is to live and talk with locals. So that they can show their way of living. This platform offers the opportunity meeting people worldwide and getting know many different cultures. But it's also possible to get new friends all over the world.
