I was raised in a small town and ventured outside my comfort zone when I moved to Ames, Iowa for college. From there I realized there was so much more to explore. I went on a road trip to New York City my freshman year and loved it. I took my first plane ride ever my sophomore year to Pensacola, Florida. I've flown multiple times there and also San Diego, California. My best friend Katie and I went on a road trip to Colorado and couch surfed with two different hosts. It was a great experience.
I graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2015. I now attend a nursing school in Omaha!
I enjoy being outside and trying new things. I also enjoy sitting inside and being lazy. It's a battle everyday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just interested in traveling and experiencing the local areas of different places. When Katie and I went to Colorado we were able to experience a lot of things we wouldn't have been able to without the help of our hosts from Couchsurfing. Katie talked me into it and I had the best experience with it, which is why I'm on Couchsurfing now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work at a camp during the summer for children with type one diabetes. This is the most important and most rewarding thing I do in my life. I have type one diabetes and I love being able to help children who struggle with the same things I did when I was that age. I've been attending camp as a camper and a camp counselor since I was 9 years old. Most amazing thing I've ever done!
