About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To give a little more than I take

ABOUT ME

I'm 21 year old female, my friends often describe me as fun, bordering on crazy (in a good way I just assumed ;) ), responsible and caring. I am very versatile, and have learn from a young age to adjust to and live with other people outside of my family as well.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe truth can be found everywhere, and that we all have our own version of it. This is why I try to talk to people and see what they believe in, how they view the world. I think that this will stretch my views and beliefs and allow me to understand and emphasize with what is happening around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately I do not have my own place right now: I moved back in with my parents when I started my master's degree. It simply made more sense as I spend most my time either at my boyfriend's place or with my parents.

Interests

I enjoy experiencing new things, may that be an activity, location or person. One of my favourite things to do is to strike up a conversation with someone yet unknown to me, to find out about their past experiences and their view on things. Apart from that I also enjoy: painting, horse riding, making long walks (in nature), and having a drink in good company. Last but not least one of my greatest passions in life would be: food, as in both eating it and preparing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

It depends on my mood, it is actually easier to ask what I don't like than what I do: I get nightmares from very gory horror movies, so I rather do not watch those, and I do not enjoy music where screaming is more prevalent that the actual words of the singer... Apart from that I enjoy everything ^^.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most impressive things I have seen was when I was visiting the church Gloria di Sant’Ignazio by Andrea Pozzo in Rome. I was on a school trip there and my arts teachers were trying to show us all artsy stuff in Rome within the week (yep quite a challenge). Anywho, when we came to this church, my teacher told us to walk to the centre of the room, whilst staring at the floor. We were not to look up untill we reached a spot in the center of the room. Once I was there I looked up, and the lights pointed at the ceiling went on (it was already dark outside). That was when I saw one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen. I knew how hard it was to paint big, and this guy, well he painted Big. So yeah, I suppose that is one of the most amazing things I've seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested in all religions (am not religious myself though): I have already acquired quite a lot information about Christianity and Islam, but would also like to hear about your religious experiences and knowledge. Other things that I can teach someone about is cooking (I pretty good if I may say so myself), painting, maybe a language you don't know yet. Or simply how to have a great time ;).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of laughter.
