ABOUT ME
I am 32 years old (as of Jan 2011), from Italy. I do love traveling the world, but for some reasons, lately I've been able only to do it for business while I traveled very little for leisure. So I need to catch up visiting new places and meeting new people.
I am married since 2007 and now I am a father of an adorable boy: things that totally improved my life and perspectives.
On the boring side, I have worked in Beijing for an Italian multinational and now I've moved to Kazakhstan but, don't worry, I still like to save time to have fun with others.
My wife and I are both very open, hospital and we both enjoy having new friends and meeting people. Moreover, as an international couple (me: Italian, she: Polish, both: living far far away), we do enjoy knowing people from different cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm always been open to hosting friends at my place, especially to spend some good time together.
I left my hometown after high school and shared an apartment with some university mates in Milan and, when we had the chance, we were always glad to host friends for weekends.
I have been hosted may times myself and I like the idea of traveling enjoying this kind of mutual help.
Interests
Anything that can be cracked open to see what's inside... Hey, I'm an engineer..
Apart from that, I love to ski, play tennis, swim
I also like to take pictures of family, friends, places..
... And I like cooking, too!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not what people would define a passionate reader, as it takes me ages to finish the books I start, or I even sometimes fail to get to the last page without skipping any. Should I mention a book I prefer over the others, I'd be embarassed... however, I did like reading Dan Brown's books recently.
For music, it's a completely different scenario, maybe because it's able to give more immediate emotions and for its power to recall particular moments or sensations from past events.
I do love listening to almost any form of music that involves someone playing an actual instrument and / or singing (so I am perfectly open to chopin, mozart.. all the way up to heavy metal...). I do not appreciate some electronic generated music and most of nowadays techno or house music. Am I already too old for that?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My best friend from high school once told me: "When I'm adult, I definitely want to do something great... or at least I want to become a father..."
He was right! The most amazing thing I've done was having a son and hold him right after he came to the world. Nothing can be more meaningful than that! Even more amazing is to see him grow up day by day.
