Born and raised in southern California; spent four years in South Bend, Indiana followed by three years working in the heart of Baltimore. Eventually accepted the fact that my career wasn't going to provide me with the opportunity to travel and learn about the world in a way I saw fit. Now I'm traveling through Europe with the intention to keep moving until it's no longer exciting.

Interests

My interests are all over the place...just off the top of my head: history, community development/organization, social philosophy, mountain biking, coffee, BBQ, hiking, urban exploring...

I worked in the stock market after college, so even though I'm taking a break from the public markets, it's an easy topic to get me rambling...

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide variety of music, but if I gravitate to any genre in particular, it'd have to be indie rock.

I wasn't much of a movie-goer growing up, but developed quite the interest once I got to college. I really enjoy thought-provoking movies, but I'm also a big fan of Wes Anderson movies (Fantastic Mr. Fox anyone?).

Since I'm traveling, I've been reading a lot less fiction than I normally would. My focus lately has been historical non-fiction; my attempt to help ameliorate my knowledge gap of the culture/history of everything non-US.
