- Just travelling, most recently a 10-day adventure in Iceland followed by a 16-day Solar Eclipse trip in the US 🌌.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My journey on Couchsurfing was inspired by a friend's recommendation. I'm dipping my toes in this vibrant community, primarily for my upcoming trip to the Cannes Festival from May 14-25, for which I plan to couch surf for a part of my stay 🛋️.

When it’s my turn to host, I love making sure all is perfect for my guests! From fresh sheets 🛏️, smooth Wi-Fi 📶 to personalized local tour 🗺️, I got it all covered!

As a guest, I'm mindful of my host's space, and make sure I leave it just as clean as I found it. 🧽And though I'm more suited for DJ-ing than cooking at parties, my wide music taste always hits the right note 🎵.

Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I appreciate openness and respect amongst all the fantastic people I meet through Couchsurfing 🏳️‍🌈.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Beyoncé's new album is on repeat at the moment. I also like Chinese songs (A-mei, Faye Wang) and K-pop (IVE, LE SSERAFIM, IU), bands (Bleachers, Circa Waves, Black Country New Road) and Andrew Bird etc.
Movies: just from last year The Zone of Interest was really good, also liked All of Us Strangers, Anatomy of a Fall, Poor Things etc.
Books: reading some classical books about photography by Susan Sontag and John Berger atm.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my recent US trip, we had a mutiny against the original tour guide; I became the new leader and finished the remaining 13 days of the trip with the other 5 people of different backgrounds (all grew up in China). I made new plans (we decided not to follow the original route), booked new hotels, drove safely, handled translation and everyone's requests and made everyone happy and satisfied. It was wild.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of my joys is photography, and I'm more than happy to share some helpful tips on how to improve photo composition, play with light and shadow, and identify picture-perfect moments around you. Maybe we could even go on a joint mini photography adventure!

When it comes to organisation and cleanliness, I have a few hacks up my sleeve. I could share advice on how to make your workspace more efficient or provide tips on keeping your living area neat and tidy. It's something that I've refined over time, and I'd love to pass along that knowledge.

In my tech-focused profession, I've gained extensive experience with various digital tools, including innovative solutions like ChatGPT. Whether you're trying to solve a tech glitch or just wanting to learn more about these platforms, I'm here to assist.
