ABOUT ME

Interests
I enjoy a boogie, deliciousness and scenery. I like getting lost wandering the streets of a town. It's a good thing I do enjoy getting lost because it happens often. (I am often seen standing on street corners furtively searching my map, trying to be inconspicuous.)I like rolling down hills. Serenity. Sunshine. Smiling at nothing in particular and being caught in the act.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently read Tolstoy's 'War and Peace' with my book club. It was slow going, but I enjoyed it far better than 'Anna Karenina'. The last 'tome' we tackled was 'The Count of Monte Christo', which is now one of my favourite books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw this giant yam. It was pretty amazing. No kidding, it was in the shape of a bulbous whale and the Papua New Guinean man displaying it proudly on his shoulder had toiled hard to grow it to that girth. Yams in PNG hold a special social status. To see this yam made me realise that people work hard for what is important to them, and that I should too.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share any tips on the places I've lived in- Melbourne, London, Beijing and Shanghai.
Alternatively, I'm a face painter part-time if you want to look like a tiger at your next party.I'm learning Mandarin, and want to know more about Chinese culture too. Cultures and their development intrigues me. Anything you have to share- from traditions to pop culture- is welcome!
