Just joined. Left my job to do some traveling and have some fun. Looking for other like minded folks for tips on travel spots, meeting up, etc.

ABOUT ME

New to site. Left my job earlier this year after 20 years in the media business - too much work & not enough travel in that time. Intend to do some traveling & hanging out for at least a year. Just back from a 6 week trip though Fiji, Oz & NZ. Wish I had known about this site.earlier. At a minimum, I've been really lucky so can offer a pretty great place to crash for other travelers in one of the best surf spots in Southern CA.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Planning on spending this year (and possibly next) traveling places I haven't been. Will be doing some of that by myself & look forward to meeting with other surfers wherever I end up. Look forward to hosting folks who want to see & experience some fun beach culture.

New to this. Just hosted two women for the night in need of an emergency couch.

Wide range of interests in all categories. Read 6 or 7 books on my tour through South Pacific. Mostly contemporary fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to just about every major sporting event once including 2010 World Cup Final in South Africa. Pretty awesome.
