About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live your life as it is, it's the only one you'll have

ABOUT ME

I have been living in Thessaloniki since 2003 and like it a lot. I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and because I don't have a lot free time (though I have energy) I try to catch up on what's happening on weekends.

As subjective as I can be, I consider myself easy going. I adjust very easily in different situations and I enjoy doing that. I value persistence and determination a lot; those two qualities help you achieve even the most difficult goals. Although I like adventure and nice surprises, I also tend to like my everyday routine and stick to it very firmly sometimes.

My typical day is very ordinary, I guess: I wake up early enough to drink my coffee at ease and plan my day. This is a routine I appreciate very much. Afterwards, I go to work (while listening to music) and , most of the days, I come back home at around 19.00. At weekends my schedule is not that tight and I usually go for walking in the city, or on a small excursion in nearby areas.

PHILOSOPHY

I have dropped thinking over existential matters long time ago, cause it's a vicious circle. My personal philosophy is towards more evident stuff.

I would be glad if every day that I live
a) teaches me an important lesson
b) is among people that I care about
c) do something that benefits others
d) brings me closer to goals that I have set

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have already worked in a non profit organization for exchange of students as a member of reception team. I liked it a lot and I think it suits me well doing that. It is great to meet people of other cultures, because when you don't travel yourself a lot, giving your ...couch to a traveller puts you in the game, in a way.
When I travel myself, I would like a home-made cup of coffee and hanging around with local people if there is a possibility for that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many people, and I have been hosted, too. Every experience was unique, as were the people involved.

Interests

My interests vary from time to time. First I would put music (a lot of weird folklore stuff), solving puzzles, running, cooking, eating, drinking good wine, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts, no problem here. Independent productions are genuinely more interesting, cause no funding entails no control, thus more expressive power.
