Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i think meeting new people always makes travelling more special, and i don't think it can ever be bad (i am saying it's a matter of your own perspective) (unless criminal activities included)). i genuinely loved every single person i have met so far and am glad that they shared a bit of their world with me.

Interests

i love nature. the country i am from is 93% mountains, so i used to hike a lot, and hiking is actually the only physical activity that doesn't tire me emotionally at all. i find peace in nature and try to go at least on a weekend trip at least once a month :)

cinema - it's a big part of my life and i truly enjoy it, although don't want to give wrong impression - i haven't seen hundreds of art-house and if you'd ask for recommendations, i would probably suggest something very mainstream xd

sociology? since i have been exposed to very different cultures ever from my childhood (my parents used to travel a lot), i was always interested why the societies i was part of were so different, what are the influences, how the history of the communities developed and etc

nerd-stuff like lord of the rings, harry potter, some video-games, sci-fi movies, anime, anime, i love anime!

Music, Movies, and Books

movies - charlie kauffam was already mentioned (synechdoche, new-york; anomalisa; being john malkovich), martin mcdonnah (in bruges, three billboardes), park chan-wook (sumpathy for mr vengeanence; oldboy). my top 3 pixar works are wall-e, up, and the inside out

anime - yes evangelion yes. perfect blue, berserk, cowboy bepop. mainstream stuff like attack on titan or jujutsu kaisen as well :)

literature - russian classic literature, persian folklore, 'shahname' by ferdowsi plays a huge role to me, are you a camus type of reader or a kafka type of reader?

music - bauhaus, bowie, marquis de sade, specimen, radiohead, elvis (of course), anime soundtracks (evangelion's opening is my favourite ngl), black Sabbath (classic), the weeknd, moses sumney

Teach, Learn, Share

teaching: i can teach you Russian/a bit of Persian and also share some cooking skills (if i'd have money to buy the ingredients tho :)

i also can recommend very nice books, movies based on your taste and if you ask, can share nice podcasts

What I Can Share with Hosts

big cultural exchange, good food and long and nice conversations.
we can watch movies together, go on a walk (i enjoy that a lot), maybe hiking if it's possible and sighseeing together.
i think I am a good listener and more than excited to listen to people, as well as share those many funny stories i have.
