ABOUT ME
Hello curious reader :)
My name is Chao i am of Chinese descent (you probably guessed that from my name as well). What is less noticable, is that i am a Dutch-born (Rotterdam) person from Chinese descent. So i am fluent in Dutch, and can speak Chinese (mandarin, taiwanese, and cantonese).
I have studied Industrial Engineering, and have a Master of Science in Computer Science. Currently i work as a Java-programmer, specialized in GIS (Geographical Information Systems).
I like to travel around, and meet new people. I love to travel to remote and beautiful places on this lonely ball of dirt we call Earth.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to enjoy a CS meeting now and then.
Sometimes, i like to organise a trip to some not too far, but nevertheless beautiful locations. Feel free to join me if you happen to be around :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Too proud to couchsurf, so i can't brag much about that. But Couchsurfing is much more than spending the night for free at some far away place with some people you've never met before in your entire life. Couchsurfing is also about travelling, and meeting new people along your journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Even though i am amazed at the many beautiful places of this Earth, some of the most beautiful things come from the people themselves.
Teach, Learn, Share
The advantage to grow up in a mixed culture is that you are able to learn many languages from childhood on. I can teach you about languages, computer science, and studying and living in Europe.
Since i'm a computer programmer, i've helped a few people pass their computer science exams. i'd be happy to teach you how to program in Java if you are interested :)
