About Me

Hi there!
I’m an English teacher passionate about creating meaningful connections through education. I thrive on designing learning experiences that spark curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in my students. Beyond teaching, I love exploring new cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and discovering what inspires them.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me working out, reading, or writing. I’m also a huge fan of meaningful conversations that challenge perspectives and build understanding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Curiosity is my driving force! I believe that every person I meet has a unique story, and I love the idea of sharing experiences, cultures, and conversations. As a teacher, I naturally enjoy talking (a lot!), but it’s always with the purpose of learning something new.

For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to stay—it’s about building connections and sharing unforgettable moments with people I wouldn’t otherwise meet. If you enjoy deep conversations, exploring the world together, or just having a good laugh, I’m your person.

Interests

Teaching and mentoring students to help them grow.
Lifelong learning, particularly about languages, cultures, and innovative teaching methods.
Exploring and experiencing diverse cultures through travel, food, and local traditions.
Cooking as a creative and relaxing outlet—I love experimenting with recipes!
Staying active and healthy by working out regularly—fitness is a big part of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy a variety of genres, but I’m particularly a fan of Taylor Swift. My favorite song is You're On Your Own, Kid. I also love acoustic music and anything with meaningful lyrics.

Movies: I appreciate films with compelling stories, especially realistic dramas and romantic comedies. A couple of my favorites include The Pursuit of Happyness and Good Will Hunting.

Books: I’m drawn to romantic and realistic fiction. One of my favorite books is The Great Gatsby, and I also enjoy modern English literature and books that challenge me to think deeply.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most exciting and memorable experiences of my life was traveling all the way to Sweden to see Taylor Swift perform live. It was an unforgettable adventure—combining my love for travel, music, and a chance to experience the magic of her concert in a completely different country.

Teach, Learn, Share

As an ESL/EFL teacher, I’ve had the privilege of not only teaching but also learning from my students every day. It’s incredible to see someone grow in confidence and skill through education. I’m passionate about fostering a love for learning and encouraging people to embrace who they truly are.

I’d love to share my knowledge of English and teaching, learn more about your culture and experiences, and exchange ideas that inspire growth and creativity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My teaching experience: I can help you improve your English skills or share tips on teaching.
Insights about my life in Guatemala: I love sharing my favorite local spots, cultural tidbits, and interesting stories.
A love for fitness and healthy living: Let’s hit the gym or go for a run together!
Passionate conversations: Whether it’s about books, travel, or life in general, I’m always up for a chat.
