About Me

it is very hard to describe oneself and echoing Alan Watts "Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth"

Will do my best:
My friends define me as a smiley person (likes to laugh and specially make people smile/laugh), considerate, critical thinker & attentive listener.
I gravitate towards exploring new places, meeting new people and experiencing their culture as much as possible. I enjoy sharing with people who I am, but most of all listening to their stories and learning from them. We have two ears and one mouth for a reason so we can listen twice as much as we speak ^_^

Life motto:
"Travel often,
dream big,
act responsibly,
take risks,
stay humble
be thankful of every experience"

Make at least one thing every single place you go.
One who doesn't own the responsibility of their own enlightenment will walk in the shadow of others.
Action is an expression of value

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It provides an opportunity to learn and share our experiences, culture, food, life perspective, language, music, sport, hobbies, values... everything.
CS for me resonates with the pay it forward mentality, that is by responding to a person's kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else.

AND to pass the MESSAGE that the we would be in better shape by:
- Taking Absolute Individual Responsibility
- Not taking obligations one cannot maintain

Interests

Travel is the only thing one can buy that makes one richer and I'm genuinely curious to meet new people, sharing stories and constantly expanding my comfort zone.

This quote sums up how i perceive life
"It’s better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way" AW

I'm active basketball player playing in a local basketball league, i consider myself an avid cook that enjoys trying new cuisines and ofc eating a lot of spicy food :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't stop watching/listening/reading/learning from Alan Watts, Marcus Aurelius, Carl Jung, Jordan Peterson, Nikola Tesla, Seneca and Carlos Castaneda work, his books about the Olmecs, Toltec cultures are fascinating and mind-blowing.

I'm fascinated by the Austrian School and the works of Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard Friedrich Hayek continue to have a deep impact in my life along with the Spanish Scholastics.

Some of my fav reads:
The sovereign Individual, The price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth, 1984 by George Orwell, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, The Denial of Death, Animal Farm, Ikigai, The 4/5th Agreements, Brave New World, Deep Nutrition by Catherine Shanahan, Human Action

I dance to anything that has a beat, test me! House, electro, lounge music, Jazz, anything with Saxo
And my latino roots are tied to salsa, cumbias, musica en espanol, sonora dinamita, etc..)

Anime fan and it's philosophy (Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball/Z/Super)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Normally i do not cling on the past achievements nor accomplishments but rather i look forward to do more amazing things where one can continue to experience in life.

Being able to continuously have choices and opportunities to do more amazing things is a blessing.

Teach, Learn, Share

My life experience from my subjective view, past travels experiences and future travel plans.
The food scene in Munich for all foodies like me.

DANCING: As a little kid my grandma and mother would grab and drag me into the dancing floor, from parties, social events, festival or group dances, you name it. Now i am that man that grabs and drags people into the dance floor.
I embrace and embody this as my life motto: If you get, GIVE and if you learn, TEACH! Simply pay it forward!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Different perspective of life and share more about myself being born in Mexico 🇲🇽, lived in the USA and living in Germany

Flat is located in one of the coolest and most central location of Munich. I am glad to have guests over but, please, note that I can't help but ignore and not take seriously the copy/paste requests.
