ABOUT ME

I love cameras, food, talking about food, both performing and listening to music, drinking the local bathtub gin, growing herbs, karaoke, and of course dusty old roads to nowhere.

I'm a freelance photographer and recently traveled from and Tokyo, Japan to the U.S. without taking a single plane...fun.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although new to the community and not currently possessed of a couch to surf on nor a roof under which t put one if I had it, I am a vagabond at heart and can recognize that in the wanderlust glow in the eyes of others. Anything to make whatever this thing is, easier for all of us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From Hollywood to Thailand, I've been surfing couches for years and am even as I type this riding the beautiful early spring Kyoto wave at a 500 year old soba restaurant, where I'm learning the fine Japanese art of traditional noodle-making. I've got many years of cooking experience under my smock and like to pay back my benefactors with what culinary kindness I can.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Climbed Mt. Fuji, Ran with the Bulls (with a broken rib) in Pamplona, French kissed a French girl in Paris, ran naked on ecstasy on the moonlit beaches of Santorini, trekked for days through poisonous spider, slug infested caves & jungle in Laos, dated a Ukranian princess in Rome, very barely missed getting stampeded by a herd of buffalo in Yellowstone, hitchhiked the length of Japan (twice), am about to travel overland from Kyoto to Colorado to get to my friend's wedding in July, need a few places to crash.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Never left southern California until I went to Europe in the late 90s, which started me down the road of cooking, writing and photographing everything with which I come in contact. That, besides listening, is what I do well.
