Hi! I'm Manouk and I live in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I love to travel, as I suppose all of you do too. Right now I'm travelling through Iran, which is a very interesting and beautiful country. I like learning new languages and am currently trying to get a modest vocabulary in Persian so that I can communicate the basic things with people here who don't speak any English. So far that has been quite fun but hard too. Besides learning new languages I'm studying to become an English teacher, I like helping people with their English and with other languages as well.

I like meeting new people and practice my languages. I like to show them around in my town and I think locals always know the best stories about the places you visit and can tell you exactly where to go. It's also the best way to really get to know a country and have superinteresting conversations I'd otherwise be unlikely to have!

兴趣

One of the reasons I chose to study English is that I love reading. I especially like to read books set in the countries I'm visiting. A couple of my friends and I have a cinemacard, which allows us to go as much as we like, so I visit the cinemas quite often (twice a week I think..). The series I watch vary from Game of Thrones to Suits and many more :). Two/three times a week I play football with my students team in Utrecht. I also like many other activities such as running, swimming, trekking & hiking, skiing and cycling.

音乐、电影和书籍

I'm a fan of Mumford and Sons and Chet Faker, but I can't really state my taste in music in one sentence. My favorite movies are from Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson and Woody Allen (can you name better films than Inglorious Bastards, The Grand Budapest Hotel or Blue Jasmine :)?). I am definitely not able to name one book as my favourite, but I'll name a few: The Handmaid's Tale, The Hobbit, A Song of Ice and Fire and Vineland.

Trek the Anapurna Circuit Trail, that was absolutely stunning and one of the best experiences of my life!
