Hi, my name is Mansimran and I was born in India but i'm from Australia. I've come to Spain on an English Language Assistant exchange program where I've been doing some language teaching in English classes in a high school everyday. Although i'm studying engineering back home, I applied for this program so that I get to actually live here, in Spain, for 9 months with a local host family.

I have been living with this family for a month a half now and it's been great. I like to get involved in whatever they do, because I want to experience what it is really like to live in this part of the world. I often stay with them for the weekends to see where they go and how they enjoy their free time. I am loving it but want to travel a bit more of Europe whenever I can find time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went to Paris and Nice recently but I soon realised that I wasn't getting to interact with the locals and had no idea about the French lifestyle.

That's why I think that the best way to do learn about local life would be to either move there, or live with a local host who shares the common language and can teach the culture.

Interests

At home, my interests are playing guitar in my spare time. I also enjoy bike riding, I have been doing that with my host dad here. Taking walks while listening to podcasts and exploring the city at night.
