About Me

I'm an economics student, who loves travelling and exploring different countries and their cultures. I have mostly traveled with my parents, with pre-booked hotels, but I would like to do more travelling on my own or with my friends. Looking past a very freezing and rainy weather, my first backpacking experience left me with a positive feeling that I would love to experience again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've found out about couch-surfing from a fellow traveler that I have met in a hostel in Netherlands. The idea sounded nice to me, and it felt like something I would like to try out myself. Living in hotels/hostels can be expensive, and camping in bad weather is not very pleasant, which is why couch-surfing could be something I would want to try next.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of different music genres, mostly older than 2000's. Rock, Metal, Jazz, Blues, New Wave and many more. Favorite band is AC/DC, favorite genre is New Wave and favorite song is America - Horse With No Name.

I love psychological thrillers and WW2 movies, as well as historical and sometimes rom-coms. I enjoy when at the end of the movie I have to think about what has happened through-out, and what have I just watched.

I'm a casual reader, who reads a bit of everything, from J.R.R Tolkien to Fyodor Dostoevsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The craziest thing I've done is backpacking through Netherlands. I have never backpacked before, so it was an amazing experience. I went to Netherlands for a concert, but decided to explore the country for 8 days as well. I mostly camped in a tent, but also booked a few hostels. I saw nice cities, even nicer countryside and met a lot of fantastic people with interesting stories of their own. As a matter of fact, that's how I've found out about couch-surfing, and I'm typing this a few hours after coming back home!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not very experienced at traveling and I have never done it via couch-surfing. However, I have traveled to a few countries and can tell my story to another fellow traveler, hopefully giving a few tips and advice, too.

I enjoy learning new languages and exploring different cultures. I find it fascinating how we are living in a world, where each country is so unique, not only in their language and surroundings, but also in how they behave and live their every-day life. Therefore, I love to learn different things from my travels and implement them into my own life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travelling stories and perhaps a couple of tips of what to expect when traveling. I'm a very calm and neat person, so I wouldn't get into their way. However, it would be cool to hang out with the hosts, and I would be more than glad if they could show me around their city/country!
