About Me
Update 2022 - I had been offline for a good couple of years, not an accidental coincidence with the time the pandemic was rife, I must say. Now I am slowly getting back to traveling and meeting new CS-ers.
I love traveling and wish to gather as many experiences as I can. I recently moved to Amsterdam from India, and am still in the early stages of exploring the beautiful cities in Europe. I wish to see them all :)
My passions are football and music, and I am just as comfortable hanging out in cozy little bars in the city as I am attending events and concerts. I also love to try out interesting new cuisines local to specific cities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Here to meet new people and make friends all over the world; the world is as small a place as we wish for it to be, afterall :) Couchsurfing is the way the world should have gone a long time back in my opinion, and it is a shame that i only discovered it recently. However, having stumbled upon CS, I wish to make the most of it, and earn as many diverse and unique life experiences as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - too much to list, as this is my biggest passion. I have learned Indian classical singing and still spend time trying to make music while fighting my genre crisis, because i like almost all kinds of music.
Right from the psychedelic 60-70s (Pink Floyd, Led Zep, The Beatles, The Doors...)
Moving to 80s (Metallica, GNR,) the 90s (RHCP, Nirvana) and some alternative bands like Oasis, R.E.M etc...
Electronic - Deephouse, techno, trance, mostly artists like Artbat, Camelphat, Claptone, Charlotte De Witte, Swedish House Mafia, Vini Vici etc...
Some pop too mainly due to Michael Jackson :) I listen to a lot of Indian music, many languages, from the 70s and 80s. Well, like I said, too many to list.
Movies - Forest Gump, And Justice for all, Braveheart, Cinderella Man
A lot of Indian movies too :)
I am not a voracious reader, and generally read travel and jungle experiences by folks like Kenneth Anderson, Bill Bryson, Jim Corbett etc. I read a little bit of fiction....authors like Dan Brown, John Grisham. I read a lot of footballers' autobiographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to Brazil and Russia to watch two FIFA World Cups!
Lucky to have been to 4 continents, taken a dip in 3 oceans and seen 4 wonders of the world
Teach, Learn, Share
I can exchange views on music from different parts of the world. I explore music a lot and have background in Indian classical music, so I would love to share and learn more.
I can tell you quite a lot about India, how to get around, the hidden gems, different cultures within the country, best time to travel and an honest and unbiased opinion about the country.
I love the jungles and can share some of my experiences living near them (I love watching animals in the wild)
