Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Manuel, I was born and live in Spain and I am 22. I'm sociable and friendly, never had any problem with any of my hosts, plus I'm still in contact with some of them! I love travelling, reading, writing and playing music, actually I am a musician, I've been playing guitar and bass during the last 8 years and just started off with recording and production. Music is my life but I earn money by working in a logistic center of a very important clothing company called Mayoral that was founded in Málaga, my town, at the south of Spain. I love english language, I'm passionate for new cultures around the world, so travelling is the best way to calm my curiosity down!
I'm educated and respectful about people's matters and my responsabilities as guest, is very important to me to not bother my hosts, for sure somebody who accommodates you in its personal space deserves respect.
Always trying to take the best of everything!

I love meeting people and travelling, but I'm not interested about the traditional trip of hotels and waste of money with no touch between the traveller and the culture. So Couchsurfing opens the door to a new universe full of posibilitys, to be hosted and to recieve people!

Music, Movies, and Books
A tiny part of the soundtrack of my life:
Django Reinhardt, The Doors, Peach Pit, Rosalia, Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys...
I could be writing one hour about good bands. Now I'm very interested about tradicional and cultural music around the world and also about new music inside new movements of expression.
I like electronic music, classical, rock (any style of rock), pop, acoustic, minimalist… I love playing music on the street mixing guitar with violin, so that explains very well my point of view relating to music.
About cinema I love japanese anime and the rest of works related to the art of animation particularly.
Some of my favourite directors are: Iñárritu, Wes Anderson, Kubrick, Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Hayao Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon.
Some of my favourite films ever: Birdman, Princess Mononoke, Donnie Darko, Moonrise Kingdom, Prisioners.
About the books that had more influence on me I can count some of them but I remember one specially: 1984 (I was younger, so much younger than now, and Orwell punched my mind). Since then I never stopped to read (not completly at least): Freud, Nietzsche, Bukowski, Burroughs... Don't think I'm wise or whatever, I'm not trying to impress, I'm not wise and I like to read for that reason!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not a teacher, but I have teached a lot of people how to play guitar and bass and how to be introduced in the knowledge of the instruments. Of course I really like to learn english (or others languages, why not?) and to teach spanish.
I also like to write and I do it since many years ago, so maybe I can contribute with some advice.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good stories, nice conversations, jam sessions. Sharing experiences and teaching knowledge.
