About Me

Hello, I am a young guy from Germany. I grew up there in the south western part of Germany. I love nature and like to be in the outdoors. One of my biggest hobbies is bushcraft, where you go into the forest and build yourself shelter out of fallen trees with simple hand tools such as axes, saws and natural cord. Spending an entire day or a couple of days outside and creating new things really grounds you and makes you experience nature in a special way. All of this plus the addition of full autonomy is why I also like camping a lot.
Apart from being in the outdoors another passion of mine is couple and line dancing. I particularly enjoy Discofox.
Other than that I am also fascinated by physics. It was my favourite subject in school by far and I'm even considering to start studying it after my gap year.
Some other hobbies would also be playing the piano, riding my bike, flying drones and cabinetry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I believe that it is a great way to meet and interact with new people. Which is a really important part to me when you arrive in a new city and country where you don't know anyone. I'd like to meet new people and just have that social interaction.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music isn't something I can pinnpoint to one genre or even one exact song. I just like to listen to various different genres. Though my main genres may be pop rock, downtempo, some piano music and some K-Pop. I also enjoy music made with pan flutes and the magical sound of hand pans.
My favourite Movies are probably How to train your dragon, Soul, Back to the Future and Catch me if you can.
As in regards to books I have to say that I didn't read that much. Basically just the Harry Potter Series, not too many other books and a handful of school lectures. Therefore I can't really make one out that I turely loved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have built a camp made out of several platforms in the forest with a friend over several years. The highest platform is 5,2 meters, the biggest platforms surface is 15 square meters and the entire camp consists out of five platforms in total. All made up from just dead trees from the area and natural cord.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn how to play saxophone someday. I just love the sound of it soo much.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories about my bushcraft adventures as well as my experience in building camps and shelters from just fallen trees and natural cord and the necessary skills involved like making fire, finding the right spot, handling axes, knives and saws properly, and so on.
I am also always thrilled when it comes to talking about physics. I could share some principles and ideas in that regard if interested.
Apart from that I would also be more than happy the share the things I know about couple dancing such as the type of music for what type of dance, the basic technique of the most common dances and their names for example.
