Hey, my name is Manuel. I'm new here on CS.
I grew up in Calw, which is a small and pretty town close to the border of Northern Black Forest in Germany. It's a calm place, famous for its beautiful landscapes, where lots of tourists come every year to enjoy hiking, biking and lovely food.
Currently I'm busy with my studies in Industrial Engineering in Reutlingen.
I'm very open to new contacts, especially young international people from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always excited to stay with locals in those places I'm visiting. I had my first experiences with AirBnB in Dubai and Cologne, which was great and a lot of fun. Now, I'd like to experience CS.
I think it's nice to be part of a regular household and see, how people live differently. For me, being a guest at someone's place, is much more interesting than being a tourist, accommodated in a random hotel. Stories and information that you share with hosts and other guests, are much more worth and barely comparable with a tourist guide.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A 5 day mountainbike trip crossing the Alpes from Austria to Slovenia to Italy alone only with a small backpack. 280 km and 4.200 el. m.

A 6 day mountainbike trip through Morocco's desert and mountains with an international group of bikers. 320 km offroad and 2.700 el. m.

A 7 day trek in the Himalayas (Annapurna Region)
