Hello everyone! My name is Manuel. I am from the Dominican Republic (located in the Caribbean, in case you didn't know lol). I'm into mindfulness meditation and yoga, but also enjoy weightlifting at the gym. I am passionate about neuroscience-themed shows, fiction and fantasy, and pretty much anything that explores the limitlessness and creativity of the mind. I'm a doctor, currently applying to a medical residency in psychiatry. I love a good hike and doing ecotourism, and whenever I have time I like to travel and learn about different cultures.

I had heard about this community in the past but because of my career I haven't been able to do as much travelling as I would like to. I'm always looking forward to meeting new people from all over the world. I'm usually down to explore new places, go out for drinks, a good hike or chatting over red wine.

My tastes are very varied, I like The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Lauv, Panic! at the Disco, Porter Robinson, Sam Smith, The Killers (Brandon Flowers), Troye Sivan, BTS, Zedd, among many others. I also like music in Spanish (Jorge Drexler<3) and Japanese, French rap, and I love EDM.
I can binge-watch a good Netflix series if I'm into it but I'm mainly into anime (FMA brotherhood, Naruto shippuden, Kimetsu no yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Nanatsu, SAO, Ghibli movies) Marvel, Harry Potter, The Magicians, dystopian stories, and animated movies like Luca, Soul. I love horror movies too.
I like to read descriptive fiction (George Orwell, Dan Brown, Albert Camus) and philosophy.

I know this is two but: I invented a whole philosophy/movement called "L'employisme", in which you either put items to use or you get rid of them (give them away or throw them out).

My tropical warmth lol, I can bring some Dominican rum if you like to drink, and we can certainly have deep conversations. I consider myself very sociable, so I can always have a good time without having to go out.
