Overview
About Me
Hi I’m Manuel from Germany, living in Berlin since 2016. Currently I’m doing my Masters in Computer Engineering and I am about to found my own startup in the live audio sector with friends. I’m a super positive, high-energy person with a huge passion for sports, travelling, partying and music. I always have one million ideas what to do so you will definitely not get bored when hanging out with me. But no worries – I also like to chill and have conversations about life, politics and traveling!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Exchanging travel stories with others and sharing experiences about life is what excites me about travelling. That’s why I love being part of the couchsurfing community because it is based on sharing experiences and meeting new people. In my opinion, couchsurfing is a fantastic way to travel and I highly enjoyed it every single time we did it. I think that travelling is all about the people that we meet on the journey. Because the 500th church that we visited we will have long forgotten by the time we return home. But the people and their stories is what we will bring home and remember for the rest of our lifes!
Interests
I love living life to the fullest and exploring unkown places and new hobbys. If you have an unsual hobby, I’m totally open to try it out! I’m also down for any action sports that you can think of – mountain biking, wild water kayaking, rock climbing, mountaineering and trail running. I do Yoga since several years which gives me tons of energy and helps me to keep my thoughts sorted.
I also enjoy hanging out with friends or go clubbing in the exciting party city Berlin!

Music, Movies, and Books
Really passionate about music, especially Techno and Post-Punk. In my life I played four different instruments and I used to produce electronic music for myself. I love electronic music but I listen to virtually anything ranging from Berghain techno to Beethoven. Currently I’m also quite involved in the Berlin Techno and music producer/DJ scene.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After finishing my Bachelor’s diploma me and one friend booked flights to Delhi, bought a decent travel bike and cycled for 5 months through the Himalayah in India and Nepal. Definitely the best experience of my life and made me a whole new person!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can fix any problem with your bike as long as you have the right tools and I can also fix any issue with your computer!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some exciting travel stories from totally off-the-beaten track. I've done self-guided long-distance trekking tours in Israel, the autonomous-region Nagorno-Karabakh and Georgia. I also cycled several thousand kilometres through India and Nepal. I can also give you some insights into the Berlin party nightlife if you're interested!
