One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being alone in the Sofia central station after losing my train, which I had taken in Istanbul to go to Belgrade. Stupidly I had decided to take a 5 minute's break for a coffee in the stop, but then I realized that I had lost my train. It was 7 am, nobody around.
The train was traveling with all my things, bags and food. I only had my camera and some money. Fortunately, I met two Bulgarians in the train station. They actually asked me for some money and they also tried to sell a coffee to me... It was a weird situation, at the same time that I needed some help from people, the only people that I had met were this guys, they didn't look dangerous but very strangers. And of course, they didn't speak any English.
They noticed that I was lost, so they offered to me to take the car and go to the next train stop's near Serbia. I have nothing to lose, I thought. But, It could happen anything. Afterwards, I got into the car and we were traveling together for an hour in the middle of nowhere. The landscape looked creepy. They said "autobahn, autobahn, Kalotina, Kalotina" (the name of the city at 100km away) while I was smoking the best cigarette in my entire life.
Finally we get in to the station. The men asked to the guard: When the train arrives? He said: "In two minutes..." So I raised up my head, and I looked at it. It's my train. I said thank you to the men and in the last 30 seconds we took a photo together. FUCKING CRAZY.
