About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live in balance with myself and nature; try and share that primordial connection.

ABOUT ME

I love to wander around wetlands and forests to get to know new plants, but also the cultural offerings of cities, going out to dance, and getting to know new places from the perspective of the people who know them best. I was born in Venezuela but mostly grew up in Michigan. I've lived in Paris and in Martinique (on exchange) and spent two years in Paraguay.

PHILOSOPHY

I go about with the idea that we can positively affect the lives of those around us through small actions... that many small people doing small things in many small places can make a difference... that life is ephemeral and we have to try and have a good time!

Music, Movies, and Books

Tough! However...
some notable movies : anything Miyazaki, Delicatessen, el Laberinto del Fauno
... books : Braiding Sweetgrass (Wall Kimmerer), East of Eden (Steinbeck)
... music : recently, I've been listening a lot to Jessie Reyes, Natalia Lafourcade, First Aid Kit, El Remolón, Made in Heights, Mount Kimbie, but I'll listen to anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping on a beach under the Milky Way, with friends and good, homemade camp food.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the languages I know and the subjects I know a fair amount about (plants!), and love to learn in turn. I love listening to people talk about things they have a passion for, regardless of the topic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tiempo, buenas ondas, beers or wine :p
