Bogota, Colombia is my hometown. Orlando, Fl is my not hometown/current town (?). Moving to another country has been one hell of a ride! I can tell you about it if you want over a beer or five :) I love craft beer,I consider myself a craft beer geek if you will. A special bond is made when you have a beer with someone. I know you know what I’m talking about!

I consider myself a minimalist in progress. A year ago I was packing my car with endless boxes and items that I had collected from a 3 month stay in Cleveland,OH, ready to hit the road, pick up my cousin in NY and head back to Orlando. This trip was dank. I will tell you about it over a beer... or.. 5!! Fast forward to me unloading my car and then loading it again to move into a new apartment I realized... this is so annoying I haaatee mooviiing. Packing and unpacking is so dull. And then it hit me... what’s up with all this stuff. Do I even use this ?. So I took everything, made a huge pile of stuff and burned it.... kidding , the environment brah! I did put it all in a pile and started to quickly re- distribute this into a yes pile and a no pile. I did this a couple of times, did it with my closet, with my mothers closet. My sister slapped me when I got close to her closet.. and now all my belongings fit in two suitcases and two boxes! And I aiming for less. And this has been the best decision I’ve made! It made me realize that what truly matters to me is beyond materialistic dreams. We focus too much on getting the newest phone, or fill our rooms with stuff because fuck it it was given four for free free, that we loose roots with ourselves and the people that surrounds us. Fuck you jimmy I don’t want your $1500 shoes, that’s enough to backpack in another country! It is all in the experiences and the people you meet. It’s all about good vibes and learning to pick wisely what to worry about. It’s all about meaningful conversation and mindful lives.

This being said. I am down to try almost everything! Hiking, swimming, running climbing, salsa dancing, biking, sleeping , meditating, yoga, eating together , cooking together, watching people cook together and then eating together with them everyone together !! Let’s explore together! I love sharing about my traveling (which has been relatively small but sweet) and hearing about your traveling! I’m pretty sarcastic, outgoing , curious, a bit random at times and open minded.

What keeps bringing me back to Couchsurfing is you. You reading my bio planning to travel or you making sure I’m cool to host. This community open doors to crazy fun experiences and incredibly amazing and genuine people, all while traveling and learning about a new city! I think the real question here is why wasn’t I in Couchsurfing before ?!

Pretty open to listen to new artists. I like to dance salsa but I also love to drive with my windows down and jam to some Marley.

Movies I have really enjoyed are The Martian, Interstellar, Reservoir Dogs, the black swan and I can’t stand Frozen, really don’t see where all the buzz is for.

Books.. currently reading The Power of Habit. Past reads include the Martian, a clockwork orange, Harry Potter books and the beer bible
