Overview
About Me
World citizen and language freak, I'm an Italian girl living in Paris, where I teach English, French and Italian. I'm crazy in love with this city, which I have a feeling I'm not going to leave for a while - this is a first for me, because in the past few years I've moved quite a lot. I have lived in Lille (north of France, adorable little city with super friendly people), Malta (tiny island where the sun never sets) and Granada (where I was on Erasmus), but I also spent quite some time in England (London, Oxford and Torquay) where I usually work in the summer months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted unofficially many times and I have lots of friends who use CS, so I decided to finally sign up. I just love the idea of helping people out while they're travelling, from the host's point of view, just as much as I love the concept of discovering the local way of living and get to know new people, from the guest's point of view. At the moment I'm looking for a new flat, but as soon as I find one which is suitable for hosting, I'll definitely do it again. I adore having people around - ever since I left my family's house in Milan, I've always lived in shared flats, except for some months during my Maltese stay, and I find it so enriching.
Interests
It might sound obvious on a website like this, but I can't help putting travels on top of the list: there's nothing that can give you more, teach you more and make you grow more than travelling. I plan to visit more Asian countries in the coming years, and this is all I'm saving up for.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a backpack trip to Sri Lanka in February 2013, and "amazingness" is everywhere over there. Climbing their sacred mountain at night (5500 steps!!), getting to the top at dawn just in time to see the sun rise and assisting to the buddhist ceremony is probably the best example. Although feeding the monkeys on my balcony with fresh papaya at breakfast was pretty amazing, too :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: well...languages! This is what I do for a living, and I love every bit of it. It feels like having a magic wand that enables people to acquire a powerful tool.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation (I can be a real chatterbox, but I'm also a good listener ), walks, food (who said vegetarians don't know how to enjoy good food?), laughter...
