Hello! I'm Manu, from Brazil, but living in Italy right now. I work in a small independent publishing house in Brazil, and I've been working with books since 2011 - it's a job, but also a passion. I like a lot reading, traveling, visiting new places and meeting people. I grew up in the countryside of Brazil, in different cities and states, but with the age of 18 I moved to São Paulo to start my studies - and beyond of all problems that a big city can has I really enjoy staying there. I'm graduate in social sciences and despite of not working exactly in my area I just love what I studied and I can say that I'm happy and satisfied with the choices I've done in my life. I think in general I'm a quiet person, open mind, respectful. That's it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After travelling to some places staying in hostels I've heard about the couchsurfing and despite of being a little bit scared of it I decided to give a goal. Unfortunately now I don't have a fixed home all the time to offer couch, but I still interested in meeting people and discovering places together, so if you're near feel free to contact me. I'm quite shy, but I really enjoy nice conversations, share experiences and learn new things with other people, and see other points of view. In that sense the couchsurfing appeared like an opportunity to do it in a different way. I found also interesting the idea to offer a coach to someone who is travelling. In the last year I've been learning how important is stay with nice and opened people, and when I go back to my country I want to do it as well.

I'm the type of person who cannot have something favourite, I just love a lot of things, and this can change according with the moment i'm living, the local atmosphere and all. I'm really open to discovery new books, films, musics and artists.

I've opened my publishing house with more two friends, which is an amazing adventure that's going really well!

I love dancing, and I've been dancing lindy hop from the last 1 and half year so, if someone here wants to practice (or learn some basic steps) I can be your follower and help!
