About Me
Hi there!
I'm ALEJANDRO. I am a 28-year-old born and raised in Lima, Peru, a country full of history, stories, and life. I consider myself a curious and open-minded traveler. I genuinely enjoy discovering new places, observing daily life, and understanding how different cultures see the world. I like conversations that flow naturally, cultural exchanges, and learning directly from people rather than guidebooks.
I respect house rules, personal space, and privacy, and I value trust above all.
For me, traveling is not about pictures, but about expanding perspective.
PHILOSOPHY
Dare to do what you love. Life is happening right now.
We are the authors of our own stories, so dare to write a good one.
Share hope, be kind, and never stop learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sharing is almost a personal law for me; it is better to give than to receive. Couchsurfing represents that idea perfectly.
I can offer you more than a simple tour, I offer an immersive journey in Lima. I can tell you its history and show you the "behind the scenes" of my city. I love the CS community because it turns strangers into friends in a matter of hours. Mi casa es tu casa.
I know how valuable a bed is for a backpacker. Sleeping properly is key to a better trip, as is the gratitude of having a safe place to leave my backpack and luggage while exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books
• Music: My playlist is a chaotic mix of almost everything. I’m open to your recommendations!
• Movies: I don’t have a favorite one, but La La Land was nice in its time.
• Books: History & Real Life Stories
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once arrived in a new city without a plan, barely speaking the language, and ended up spending the day with locals who invited me to share food and stories. It taught me that openness and kindness are universal languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My knowledge, my culture, hidden gems of Lima and Peru that aren't in the guidebooks.
The Peruvian cousin is worldwide famous but please don’t expect me to be a chef! 🍳🚫 I’m terrible in the kitchen (really, it’s not my habitat). However, I am an expert at knowing WHERE to eat. I will happily take you to the best local spots to try authentic Peruvian food that will change your life. Deal?
If you’ve read this far, we probably already have something to talk about. Couchsurfing starts with a request and hopefully ends with a shared memory.
