À propos de moi
ABOUT ME
I'm a curious person always interested in learning about how the world works and about different kind of people with whom I would love to connect in a horizontal way. I consider myself as an open and tolerant person willing to relate to anyone no matter how they are or think, but always within a context of mutual respect and kindness... It's easier in that way I think.
MY VALUES...
I consider freedom my most sacred value so I offer respect to your freedom as well: Your thoughts, moral and so on have emerged from your historical and personal context and I deeply respect that. I love learning then I feel better doing that than judging. I think I'm not a politically correct person then I know how it feels to be judged for what you think, ergo I won't do that.
I really appreciate genuinity. and a good sense of humor, and I try to offer them to any person who I relate with. You can try me, I have a lot of tolerance for jokes! I like spontaneity... In my opinion this opens the door to vulnerability which leads to real connection.
Also I can adapt myself to many different contexts, persons and situations so I have no problems to follow the rules that I need to according to where I am.
MY ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL INTERESTS
These have been becoming wider with the time because I love trying to understand where we are as humans, so besides psychology, I like history (now reading about the time after the fall of the Roman Empire), philosophy (now reading Gilles Lipovetsky) art (now reading about Van Gogh), feminism (now reading Camille Paglia), biology and anything that can help to get a better understanding of the world and the people who lives in it and their motivations.
As a psychologist I'm interested in the analysis of the subject-environment interactions that explain why certain responses are more frequent than others and how that can be altered. I'm a psychotherapist trained on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which is a therapy strongly rooted in basic and applied research that includes "mindfulness" procedures in order to help people to live according to what they value in life. Regarding psychology, I'm interested in epistemology, the importance of science in professional practice and daily life, dissemination of evidence-based interventions to develop pro-social behavior, the analysis of certain social phenomena like feminism and political tendencies, etc.
WHAT I LIKE TO DO
I love reading and travelling. I think these both are the most direct way to expand your mind. Learning is my passion.
Also I could say walking without a direction, reading while drinking a coffee, arguing respectfully with another person who handle different information that me, meeting people from everywhere, writing poetry when I'm sad, going to museums, doing my job (psychotherapy), watching classic films (something that I love), and so on...
ABOUT PARTY AND BOHEMIAN LIFE...
Sure! I like it too. A precision: For a couple of years, some years ago, I could have been called an animal party, and I think still is really easy to have fun with me while taking some drinks. However now in my thirties I guess my resistance is not the same haha :).
MY RULES... (WHICH I HOLD LIGHTLY)
I don't like to follow rules rigidly but I love the golden rule: "Don't do others what you don't want done to you".

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Classic films are my favorite ones. For example, I love Hitchcock's films, however any classic is a good choice for me. "The big parade" is probably one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. I also remember "Dr. Strangelove or how a...", "The God, the bad and the Ugly", "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf", etc. Classic films put the standards for me. However I loved films like "Gran Torino" of Clint Eastwood, "Kinodontas" of Giorgios Lanthimos and the Korean one "Oldboy" of Spike Lee. Subtitled please.
I use to watch some animes. Satoshi Kon was the director of many of the animes that I loved.
About books my favorite authors are Herman Hesse, Jorge Luis Borges and Julio Cortázar. Borges and Cortázar comprehend part of what was called the magic realism in the latinoamerican literature. I love Hesse because his existencialist and spiritual vein with narratives that always convey in the meaning of the life and the vicissitudes that are implied on living. Probably "Under the wheels" is my favorite novel of Hesse.
About music, I'm always moving from one kind of music to another, however the borders of my taste are made of rock (Queen, Metallica, The Cranberries, Los Prisioneros...), electronic (mostly for parties) and classical music (Beethoven, Haydn...). I can listen other musical styles if I have to or if it's the music appropriate for the place but those I have mentioned are my preferred ones. There is good Salsa music but usually was made before I was born, I'm talking about classic Salsa which is the best for sure (Hector LaVoe). I'm not a great dancer but I can defend myself :).
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I guess... saving my life after being so close to die once. No meds that could work, just my attitude and take care of my body. It was a great experience.
Also travelling by my own, Always is a transforming experience where I meet amazing people and learn and share a lot.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'd like to share how to live your life mindfully, which contributes to personal satisfaction and more effectiveness.
Also, I can share any information that I could handle about any topic you could be interested. Talking about anything and learning will be a pleasure for me.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I guess I can share some insights about what is and how to influence on human behavior. In fact, I can offer some therapeutic intervention in a very natural way so it won't be felt weird but as a normal daily conversation.
