Hey I'm Manuel, I'm from Germany, 25 years old and currently travelling around the world to broaden my Horizon and learn more about myself.

I'm a really open minded person and tend to like people pretty fast, maybe too fast haha.
I like to talk and do stuff together, but also spend time on my own and leave you space for yourself.

I'm open to try out new things, actually I like to do it, I think it's an opportunity to find a new interest. This way I already gathered a lot of interests. And I think understanding and learning about the interests of others, is nice to connect more with them and again an opportunity to find new Interests for yourself. So I really like to listen to someone speaking about their passions and exchange it with mine. =)

On the other hand I got Hobbys I'm doing for years now and I'm most passionate about, like Calisthenics or exercising in general and nutrition. It's really interesting to me how the body works as a unit, with the help of all we absorb, all those different molecules, aminoacids and more.
I really like to cook and experiment with food.
I try to learn and make new recipes. I also love to use new ingredients and spices I have never used before.
I like to read. I got a little book with me that I like to trade after finishing, right now I'm on my second Book, it's the perfume, it's in german, but maybe you'll like to trade it with me after finishing it.
I like to learn new languages. Since I'm in France right now, I'm learning French. I like to speak it with someone to improve, I think it's the best way to learn and even better when this person also speaks English, so he can explain it to me when I don't understand at all. Next step will be to improve my Spanish, cause it's my next destination.
And there is more I really like to do, but I think it's enough for now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see it as an opportunity to make last longing friendships around the world.
It's a great way to meet locals and therefore a better way to learn more about the culture of an country.
I can practise the local language better, beceause most people here also speak English.
I can meet other foreigners aswell and make friends in another country, I will visit in the future.
I can go to nice events, like the Quizz in the Lions Pub in Paris.
And a place to sleep is also nice of course haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

I ike a lot of different music styles, actually as long as it sounds good to me, I don't mind listen to it. And I like songs with a deeper meaning. And I like to sing along with some songs.
If I had to pin down a favorite style, it would probably be rap.

For Movies I like the most fantasy, the lord of the rings is my favorite movie thrillogy. And I also like thriller, action, sci-fi, Horror, comedy.
For example, pirates of the carrabean, pulp fiction, life of Brian, silence of the lamb, star wars.

For Books I like novels, fantasy novels, books about personal progression, about nutrition and sports and about traveling. To be honest I didn't read so many books in my life yet, but I'm about to change that while traveling, because I got more time now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I was driving a boat for the first time and had a great day trip with my former Host from Workaway. I'm really thankful to him for giving me this opportunity!

Teach, Learn, Share

In Germany I worked as an electrician, specialised in repairing the cables of the German Telekom, so I can teach you a bit about electricity and maybe help with something.
I know a bit about computer related stuff, so I can teach you about it.
Furthermore I can teach you about exercise, nutrition, cooking, the lord of the rings and one piece =D

I'm trying to learn the local languages, so it would be nice if we could speak it sometimes to practise.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I share my food with you, clean after myself and invite you for a couple of beers. I can help you with things like cleaning, cook together, working in the garden and many other things. And of course share a good time together =)
