About Me

FEMINIST, VEGAN, ANTI RACISM

I am hitchhiking from Germany to Morocco this summer. My friends and I will rent a place for three weeks and organized an arabic class there. I would be sooo glad to meet y'all! 🦋

______________

Hey guys 🌻

I am Niko, 22, from a small german town . I study Anthropology and Islamic cultures and languages in Cologne 🦥.

My biggest passion is - you guessed it- traveling. Other than that, I really enjoy cooking, my friends always suggest that I should get my own cooking show 🐒. I am a vegan for ethical reasons but be assured - you won't miss out on anything 🐋.

I love talking to people and I try to learn something from everyone that I talk to. I believe that everyone has their own experiences and ideas and I wanna know how you see the world 🗺️.

I read a lot and I am very interested in many topics: Evolution, lucid dreaming, Animals and, of course, anthropology 🐣. I wanna become a journalist, maybe have my own travel-show (how about a cooking-travel show?) 🍄.

I smoke quite a lot of weed but also do long breaks from time to time 🕊️.

I love music, especially german Oldschool Rap 🦍.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that CS is a great opportunity to make new friends and to see how life in other countries really is. When I was traveling, meeting local people was always the most interesting thing for me. That's why I study Anthropology 😊.

In Iran, I really appreciated Couchsurfing. Most of the interesting things in Iran are مخفى (= secret). Couchsurfing gives you an opportunity to see how people REALLY live 🌌.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of the most inspiring things I have read in the past months is "This is Water" by David Foster Wallace 🐟. You can find in on youtube, too.

"The Way of the World" by Nicolas Bouvier was probably my biggest inspiration for traveling 🤠!

Two of my favorite writers are Hermann Hesse and Stefan Zweig 💫.

Recently, I read a lot of books about anthropology. They are pretty cool because they always include traveling to some degree 📙.

I never watch movies or Netflix, but the best movie I've ever seen is "Sheherazade". Watch it in french with subtitles, there's nothing like this movie 🎥.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving a truck on a highway in Morocco 🚚.

Getting drunk on a Roma wedding in Turkey 🕺 .

Secret hippie villages everywhere :D

My best experiences came out of nowhere. If you don't plan too much, life awards you with some crazy surprises! I trust that there is always a way and if one door closes two others will open soon!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very spontaneous. I can cook some delicious vegan food for you 🐋.

Countries I’ve Visited
