About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd like to make life stressless, though that's not gonna happen, but I keep trying anyway ;-)

ABOUT ME

I like to sing while riding my bike.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know where I'm going in life. But I think it's interesting to see where I'll end up.

Interests

Sunshine, because it makes me warm and happy. New countries, because different places feel different. Books and translating (that's what I study).
Walking barefoot - especially on sand and in grass.
Food - cooking and eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music!!! Greatest thing in the world (or one of the greatest) - anything with a nice melody that's danceable. Especially Reggae/Dancehall, but it depends on my mood. Momentary favourite: "Soul meets body" by Death Cab For Cutie.
Books - there are too many. Some I was impressed by: "1984", "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo", "The Road", "Moi, Tituba sorcière", "The New York Trilogy", "The Beach"... and the list goes on.
Movies? Not an expert. "Dancer in the dark" is great, "Matrix" I like (the first part), "Kill Bill" is awesome (both parts - can't decide which one I like more), "Lola Rennt" is definitely on the list. "Mary & Max" is a new favourite, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "Fried Green Tomatoes..." are all-time favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

freefall during a parachute jump -
taking a shower after 6 days of walking -
making yeast-dough

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can give you some advice: If you want to read a book, read it in the original language - if you can. If not, read it in your language, but always remember that you haven't read the original. Same with movies. I've found that some movies are really bad in German, but so, so much better in English - just because of the words.

Oh yeah, I've always wanted to learn how to open beerbottles without a bottle opener.
