Hi everyone!
My name is Maqui Merino and I am about to finish my B.A. in Theatre and Arts!
I was born and raised in San Juan, Argentina but moved to Israel 7 years ago. I love art, in any form and shape, so I don't just say I'm a make-up artist, I am also a sculptor, a museum lover, a ballet/theatre/opera enthusiast. Another thing about me is that I love the out doors! Most of my childhood memories include nature and I try to keep up with that side of me as much as possible in my "adulthood".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I opened this account because I have only a few classes left before I graduate and I would love to start connecting again with nature in a greater level, on a global level. I would like to start traveling more around the world, and in my opinion, the best way to get to know a place is through the local eye.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folk music, of any type. My favorite book is The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater and a very close second is the Harry Potter saga. In regards of movies I'd have to admit that I like almost anything fantastic and sci-fi, if I have to choose a favorite movie right now it would be a tough fight between black panther and zootopia.

If we have time I'd love to teach you how to recycle things that might seem as trash into really cool sculptures or decor for the house.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some pretty good stuff, manly Italian stile. I've had a very interesting upbringing, I'm sure you are just as interesting, so we can share our life stories. But, I am told a lot that I am very energetic, so I'll mainly try and bring good energy to your house.
