About Me
I'm Italian but I currently live in Scotland, which I love. I live and work in a hostel and the best part about it is meeting new people and learning about different cultures! I value knowledge and honesty more than anything else. I'm currently studying translation and I hope one day to have my own translating company. I am very passionate in what I do and I want to learn new languages in the future. I am very indipendent and adventurous and I love travelling alone. I am easy going and respectful, and also easily adaptable to any situation (living in a hostel teaches you so many things aha!). I love animals, especially cats!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my Master's degree, I am planning to travel more and more. I want to learn as much as I can and make the most of every experience. I like travelling alone because it leads you to talk to strangers more. And you can find wonderful people in every corner of the world: you just need to look around, talk, and listen. That's why I like the idea of couchsurfing, it will allow me to meet lots of new people and experience a taste of their lives, of how is it to live in that place they are staying, and most of all, sharing once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Oscar Wilde is my absolute favourite and I have a huge collection of his works in various editions. Other titles that I loved are Story of Gordon Pym (Poe), Heart of Darkness (Conrad), The three Musketeers (Dumas), The Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare), Les Fleurs du Mal (Baudelaire), The book thief (Zusak), Narcissus and Goldmund (Hesse). Also I love the works from John Keats, Giacomo Leopardi, Ugo Foscolo, J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, Johnatan Coe, Umberto Eco, Carl Gustav Jung. There's definitely someone that I forgot to mention there though.
Music: I like a bit of everything, from classic rock to swing. My all-time favourite artists are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Django Reinhart, Etta James, Arctic Monkeys, Jaques Brel, Oasis, Joe Hisaishi, and I recently discovered Hozier. I also like folk music from Scotland and gipsy swing.
Movies: all studio Ghibli movies, Shutter Island, American Beauty, The nightmare before Christmas, Monty Phyton and the Holy Grail, The Duellists, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hair, Inception, and all costume dramas. I like movies that leaves you with something to think about.
